Physicist by background, currently researcher at the Italian Institute of Technology, Milan, Italy. Her main research interest concerns the study and the development of bio-electronic devices for modulation of living cells activity, with applications in biology and medicine. She developed a huge experience in the characterization and implementation of biohybrid interfaces based on conjugated polymers, studied by optical, electronic, photo-electrochemical, ion imaging and electrophysiology techniques. Optical/spectroscopic studies of organic semiconductors complete her profile. Awarded with the ERC-Starting Grant in 2019 (LINCE, Light INduced Cell control by Exogenous organic semiconductors). Coordinator of two Future Emerging Technology European Projects, PHOCS (Photogenerated Hydrogen by Organic Catalytic Systems) and LION-HEARTED (Light and Organic Nanotechnology for Cardiovascular disease, 2019-2022). Participation as Unit PI to several European (ITN OLIMPIA, ITN ASTROTECH) and National projects. Prizes in Social Venture competitions, 4 patents. +70 publications in high rate journals, h-index 32, +2800 citations, +40 Invited talks at international conferences and schools.
