Presentation: An Overview on crosslinked (hybrid) Polymer Electrolytes for Next-Generation Solid-State Batteries operating at ambient temperature
Claudio Gerbaldi got his PhD in Material Science and Technology at the Politecnico di Torino, where he is now Full Professor, Chair of Chemistry. He is the leader of the Group for Applied Materials and Electrochemistry (GAME-Lab, https://www.facebook.com/GAMELabPoliTO, https://twitter.com/gamelabg) at the Department of Applied Science and Technology, where he coordinates the activity on the development and characterization of innovative electrochemical energy storage/conversion systems (Li-/Na-based batteries, next-generation photovoltaic and photoelectrochromic devices), with strong collaboration with academy/research centers worldwide and effective connections with industry and EU. He is author/co-author of > 150 scientific research articles in ISI journals with >1100 annual citation counts in recent years (>6400 total citations) and h-index 51 (source SCOPUS, 01/2021), 5 International granted patents, 6 research book chapters. He has been visiting scientist at the MIT - Massachusetts Inst. Tech. (US), at the Hunter College and CUNY Graduate Center - The City University of New York (US), at the Cambridge Graphene Centre - University of Cambridge (UK) and participated in >80 national/international conferences (>120 oral talks and/or poster presentations), 12 as a distinguished invited/keynote speaker. Among others, he has received the International “Roberto Piontelli” Award – International award assigned biannuary by The Accademia dei Lincei, delivered in the presence of the President of the Italian Republic, for outstanding scientific or technological contributions in the field of electrochemistry for energy-related applications, corrosion or physical chemistry and the ‘‘UniCredit Award’’ for the Young Innovation in Research.
