He currently works as a research professor in the field of Material Science and Engineering at the Material Area of Mechanical Engineering Section, Department of Engineering, PUCP. He has developed a line of research in the field of Polymer and Composite Materials Engineering that covers the following topics: structure and properties, mechanical behavior, simulation of properties and manufacturing processes, polymer recycling and design of equipment, molds and tools. In addition, he has been Director of the Engineering and Materials Science Master program and Director of Doctoral Engineering program at PUCP.
