Cesar Liberato Petzhold

Since 2014 has a Full Professor position at the Organic Department of the Institute of Chemistry at Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul – Brazil. He did his doctoral thesis at the Organic Chemistry Institute of the Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz (Prof. R. Stadler) on: “The anionic homo- and copolymerization of aminofunctionalized 1,3-diene” and maintains a strong collaboration with German Universities and research institutes (University of Mainz, University of Bayreuth, University of Tübingen, Max-Planck-Institute for Polymer Research, TH Bingen). His research focuses on the synthesis of functionalized monomers, materials from renewable resources, biolubricants, dental materials, amphiphilic copolymers, controlled polymerization and polymer characterization techniques. He has more than 90 publications (h index = 22), 10 patents and supervised 12 PhD Thesis and 20 Master Science on Chemistry and Materials Science Graduate Program.
