Dujin Wang

Dujin Wang received B.S. in 1989 and M.S. in 1992 from Shandong University, and Ph.D. in 1995 from Peking University. After finishing the postdoctoral research at Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences (ICCAS) with Prof. Duanfu Xu, he joined ICCAS in 1997 as an associate professor and was promoted to full professorship in 2000. His research focuses on polymer physics and processing.

As the group leader of Polymer Morphology and Processing (PMP), Dujin Wang has been devoting himself to the basic and applied research of commodity polymer materials, engineering plastics, as well as polymer-based composites. His scientific research focuses on: (1) Polymer crystallization behavior, orientation induced structural variation of polyolefins, long carbon chain polyamide, bio-degradable polymers as well as photo-electro polymer materials; (2) Crystallization and melting behaviors of normal alkanes and polymers in confined geometry; (3) Processibility investigation of polymer films, filaments, moulding parts from lab stage to industrial applications.

Dujin Wang received the China Association for Instrumental and Analysis Awards (First Grade) twice in 2001 and 2006, the Science and Technology Progress Awards of Beijing Municipal (First Grade) twice in 2001 and 2009, the Science and Technology Progress Awards of Shanghai Municipal (First Grade) in 2017. He has been serving Chinese Chemical Society as the executive deputy director of Polymer Division since 2011. He is associate editor of Chinese Journal of Polymer Science and Acta Polymeric Sinica, and member of editorial board for several journals including Polymer International. In 2016 and 2018, he was elected as Fellow of Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC Fellow) and Fellow of American Chemical Society (ACS Fellow). He has published more than 300 peer-reviewed journal articles and holds 40 invention patents.
